‘one of the funniest bands ever - still chuckling’ Mike Harding
Guaranteed to woo, charm, cheer & delight, A Fistful of Spookies are made up of professional singers and choir-leaders from across the UK who have all toured with festival hits The Spooky Men’s Chorale (Australia) and have enough voices to recreate the complete Spooky canon of achingly beautiful and wonderfully daft songs. Magnificent fun!
For newcomers to the Spooky phenomenon, they have redefined the whole notion of male singing, from anthems extolling the virtues of power tools and the joys of doing nothing (at all) to ancient Icelandic hymns, Georgian work songs & a Ukrainian marching song, as well as award-winning covers of Abba & Bowie, mesmerising stylings of Dolly, Tina & Queen and their defiant assertion that they are definitely not a men’s group.
With Adam Birkett, Michael Carlyon, Jamie Dawes-Hughes, Adrian Mealing, Philip Read, Chris Samuel, James Sills & Dom Stichbury with some special guests!
