· Part Time Front of House Supervisor – Salary circa £23-27k FTE

Flexible approach to working hours, circa 20-25 for part time / 35-45 per week – mix of splits/straights and weekends

Reporting to: Operations Manager – Front of House

Hours: Part time circa 20-25 hours per week (mix of splits/straight and weekends (flexible)

Salary £23-27k (Full Time Equivalent) dependent upon experience

Experience One year’s experience of working in a busy pub/restaurant environment

Weddings, events and functions

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To support the management of The Fleece Inn’s restaurant, bar and Front of House staff. Creating a vibrant atmosphere through seamless service and attention to detail, bringing energy, creativity and innovative thinking to the running and development of the business.

DUTIES:

Operational Management:

  • To maintain cellar standards and cleanliness including weekly line cleaning.
  • Maintain low wastage levels through good stock rotation, accurate recording and team training.
  • Run shifts, assisting and guiding staff to deal with issues and complaints and ensuring guests’ experiences exceed expectations.
  • To monitor and maintain levels of cleaning and housekeeping products and equipment by way of a weekly stock and order system.
  • Managing till operation and cash up.
  • To work closely with the Operations Manager to maintain standards and highlight areas of improvement.
  • To offer operational support to the Operations Manager and work with them to complete tasks.
  • To contribute ideas to the Fleece In calendar of events
  • Work closely with the events team and other managers to ensure all functions, weddings and events operate smoothly and effectively and in accordance with customer requirements and licensing authority regulations.

Managing People:

  • Offer support and leadership to all FOH staff on a daily basis, communicating agreed targets and taking responsibility for maintaining high standards of quality, customer service, health and hygiene.
  • To uphold the company’s service policies, detailed in ‘the way we do business’ document and to encourage and grow the company culture across the team.
  • Foster an environment where improvements to products, processes and service are welcomed and encouraged.
  • Work to motivate and develop team members according to their individual abilities and potential.
  • Liaise with housekeeping to ensure standards of cleaning in the pub and guest room are maintained.
  • To share with colleagues the companies values (detailed in ‘the way we do business’ document) and culture and encourage them to uphold these policies.

Customer service:

  • Deliver an adaptable atmosphere for our broad spectrum of guests.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with all guests and handle complaints, requests and enquiries.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for The Fleece Inn and ensure group values are upheld to both external and internal contacts, through appropriate behaviour and performance.
  • To be fully conversant with all Fleece Inn Group products and services.

Health and Safety:

  • Take responsibility for monitoring and reporting any health and safety issues to the appropriate person.
  • Operate safe practices, act as a role model and provide guidance to staff to ensure that their safety and that of guests is protected.

General

  • To support colleagues at peak times and be flexible to undertake any operational duty which might be reasonably required, to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • To undertake any other duties as requested by the Senior Management team, in accordance with the scope and responsibilities of the role.
  • To proactively seek ways of improvement within the business and the removal of barriers that may hinder this progress.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
