Country file at The Fleece Inn PRESS RELEASE The BBC’s Countryfile comes to The Fleece Inn With the asparagus season about to commence, the BBC’s Countryfile will be filming here in the Vale. John Craven will be filming at the Fleece Inn, Bretforton investigating the growing and harvesting of local asparagus and local asparagus folklore. Landlord Nigel Smith said ‘It is great that traditional asparagus growing in the Vale of Evesham is getting national coverage, and it is just brilliant to have John Craven here whose journalism I have admired for many years.’ The Fleece Inn is hosting the 2006 Vale of Evesham’s Asparagus festival from 11-4pm on Monday 29th May that will be a fantastic family day out, followed by a week of events culminating in the Mayor of Evesham’s Charity Asparagus Gala on Saturday 3rd June.
